Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy almond butter unsalted
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil unrefined, virgin
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and whisk together over medium heat until it is all combined and fully liquid (about 3-5 minutes).

  2. Pour the mixture into a 9×9 baking dish lined with parchment paper, making sure it is evenly spread across the pan.

  3. Place the pan in the freezer for about 1 hour, until completely hardened.

  4. Remove from the freezer, slice into small squares, and enjoy!

  5. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Recipe Notes

Sprinkle dark chocolate chips (I prefer Ghiardelli) and/or coarse Himalayan sea salt on top for added flavor and texture!

*This will add to the calories if you add the chocolate.

Growing up I was overweight and ate a diet made up of convenient, processed foods. Then, when I was 16 years old, I had a tonsillectomy that resulted in weight loss. Seeing that I actually had muscle beneath my fat was enough to inspire me to abandon the unhealthy habits I had learned — I started exercising regularly, preparing nutritious meals and moving toward a holistic way of living.

As happy as I was about my new way of life, I was even more ecstatic when I learned I could make a career out of helping others do the same.
